DialogWeb Help: Targeted Search Forms

Targeted Search forms are specifically designed for the search category and category options you have chosen. Most Targeted Search forms have several input fields for entering your search terms and data-descriptive options that you can use to define your search. Some Targeted Search forms let you select the databases you want to include in your search. If a Targeted Search includes a database that does not offer a free format, a warning displays at the bottom of the search form.

To search, complete the search form and click Search.You do not need to complete all the fields on the form. Required fields are labeled.

To clear the form of all text and selections, click Clear.

The Targeted Search forms also offer the following options:

• Navigation - Your search category selections display at the top of the form. To return to a category or option, click the search category or option name.
• Search Form Tips - Click the Search Form to display form-specific information and examples.
• Databases - A list of the databases that will be used in your search display at the bottom of the form. For more information on a database click the database name.
