When you logon to Guided Search the eight main search categories display. Links to lower-level category options display below the main levels.
You can select a main category, which displays an expanded list of category options, or you can select one of the links to display only the selections for that option. For example, if you want patent information, you can select Intellectual Property, to display all of the search options for this main category, or you can select Patents and only the Patents search options display. The Targeted Search and Dynamic Search options display at various points in the search category selection process. The options you select determine how much information displays on a Dynamic Search form. If you search all the databases associated with a category, the search form that displays will contain more or different inputf ields than the form that displays if you search a database group or a single database.
You can also display an alphabetical or numerical
list of all the databases, and select from the list the database you want to use in your
