DialogWeb Help: Saving, Running, and Deleting a Saved Strategy

The Save Strategy Only option is available from any Picklist or Records display. It lets you store your search strategy so that you can recall it for later use.

Saving a Search Strategy
To save a search

1. Click Save Strategy Only on the Picklist.
2. On the Save Strategy form, enter a name (1-6 characters) in the Name text box. Note: Dialog assigns a two-character prefix to the name you enter. The first character of the prefix is an "S" if you select the Permanently Save option and a "T" if you select the Temporarily Save option.
3. Select a Save option, Permanently or Temporarily.
4. Click Save.

Temporarily saved strategies are automatically deleted after seven days. There is no charge for temporarily saving a strategy. A permanently saved search strategy is stored until you delete it. There is a nominal monthly charge for permanently saved strategies.

Running a Saved Strategy
To run a saved search

1. Click Run Saved Strategy from a Dynamic Search to display the Run Saved Strategy form.
2. Select the strategy you want to run.
3. From the list of databases, select the databases you want to include in your search.
4. Click Search.

Deleting a Saved Strategy
To delete a saved strategy

1. On the toolbar, click Favorites.
2. On the Favorites page, click Modify in the Saved Strategies bar.
3. Select the strategy you want to delete.
4. Click Delete.
