DialogWeb Help: Dynamic Search

The Dynamic Search option allows full control of search strategy formulation and database selection. The initial Dynamic Search form contains an input box for keywords or phrases that describe your topic (for example, a company or product name) and a drop-down list that lets you select the index for your search. Some Dynamic Search forms contain a Browse option that lets you display a list of indexed terms that are similar to the term you enter. This valuable feature lets you see exactly how a term is indexed and lets you select the term and its index field directly from the Browse display.

Dynamic Search strategies can be edited to limit or extend the power of the search. You can remove databases from your search, combine the results of one search with another search or with a new search, and refine your search strategy.

Dynamic Search is available at various points in the search category selection process or when you use the Quick Function option in New Search and enter specific database number for your search.
