DialogWeb Help: About DialogWeb

The Dialog Corporation has been serving customers since 1972. With more than 450 databases from a broad range of disciplines, it is truly the one-stop service for your information needs.

DialogWeb offers the full content, power, and precision of Dialog in the environment of the World Wide Web. Access to full-strength, command-mode Dialog is enhanced by Web browser capabilities that provide hyperlinks to complete database information (Bluesheets), a Database Directory to help with database selection, and HTML markup of all search results. The Guided Search feature provides access to a forms-based search tool.

If you are a Dialog customer, to logon to DialogWeb

  1. Enter your user ID in the User ID text box.
  2. Enter your password in the Password text box.
  3. If appropriate, enter a subaccount in the subaccount text box. A subaccount is an alphanumeric designation of up to 32 characters. It can include blanks, leading zeros, and any punctuation except semicolons (;) and question marks (?).
  4. Click Logon.

If you are a Domain Access customer, you may be required to enter the subaccount assigned to you by your company in the Subaccount text box.

When you logon to DialogWeb you will be in Guided Search unless you have specified Command Search as your preferred search mode in Settings.
