DialogWeb Help:  About  Command Search

Command Search is designed for intermediate to experienced Dialog searchers. It provides complete command-based access to Dialog's exclusive collection of databases. To access Command Search, click Go to Command Search from Guided Search, New Search. To set Command Search as your default, from Guided Search go to Settings, Logon Preferences, and select Command Search.

The Command Search page contains a text box for entering Dialog search commands, a Submit button that sends the command, and a Previous button that displays your most recent command entries.

From the Command Search, New Search page you can enter Dialog commands to begin searching, browse subject categories and select databases for your search, and access Product Support. You can also use the Quick Functions to go directly to a list of your Alerts or display information in your Address Book.

Command Search also provides access to the following

• Alerts - access the Alerts Manager, an easy-to-use interface setting up current awareness profiles and Table of Contents Alerts.
• Order - access forms for ordering original patents and documents
• Cost - displays immediate session cost information
• Help - context-sensitive online help, access to the full online help system, and Customer Support email access
