The SET NOTICE command generates a cost estimate for any TYPE or PRINT commands in excess of the system default of $100.00. The estimate displays before the command executes and you are prompted to confirm your request. The SET NOTICE default for Dialog Web is ON.
To change the default setting from $100.00, enter the SET NOTICE command followed by a dollar amount, for example, set notice 500.
To display the current command setting, enter show notice.
To cancel a SET NOTICE command, enter set notice off.
Note:
Some files have a SET NOTICE default. If the SET NOTICE amount you specify differs
from the default, you will be asked to change your SET NOTICE specification.
