DialogWeb Help:   Browsing and Selecting Databases

To browse and select databases from a database category

  1. Click Databases on the Command Search toolbar.
  2. Click a database category to display the category contents.
  3. Click a category option. When you reach the last level of a category, a list of database numbers and names displays.
  4. To search all the databases in the list, click Begin Databases.
  5. To search only a few of the files listed, click Clear Selections, then select one or more databases and click Begin Databases. You can also enter a SELECT command and click Search DIALINDEX. A DIALINDEX search displays a list of databases and the number of records per database that contain you search term.

To browse and select databases from an alphabetical list of all categories

  1. Click Databases on the Command Search toolbar.
  2. Click an alphabetic group link.
  3. Click a category option. When you reach the last level of a category, a list of database numbers and names displays.
  4. Select one or more databases and click Begin Databases or enter a SELECT command and click Search DIALINDEX.

You can also display all the databases in alphabetic or numeric lists by clicking the name or the number link. You can scroll through these lists, select databases, and click Begin Databases to start your search. However, if you click an alphabetic or numeric group link at the top of the lists, selections made in previous displays are cleared by the system.
