| DialogWeb Help: Search History |
The Search History displays a table of your set numbers, search terms, and the number of items (records) retrieved. It also contains a list box of the basic format options, and text box for specifying the number of records to display. Database details and the Command text box also display. (If the database details are not visible, click Database Details.)
Set Numbers
Each SELECT command creates a temporary group, or set, of
records that include the search term(s) used in the command. The sets are assigned
sequential numbers, beginning with set S1. The set numbers can be used in subsequent
SELECT commands. All sets are erased when you submit a BEGIN
command to open a new database or when you logoff.
Search Terms
The Search Terms are the word(s) or phrase(s) you enter that describe the subject or the
concepts of your search.
Items
The Items are the number of records retrieved.
Format
Formats determine the amount of information displayed from each record retrieved. The
Format list box lists the basic format options. The selected format is used when you click
the Display button in the Search History. The basic format options are: Free, Short,
Medium, Long, and Full.
