DialogWeb Help:  The SHOW Command

The SHOW command displays your current SET parameters. You can display all of the parameters, SHOW ALL, or you can specify a particular parameter, for example, show cost.

The most commonly used SHOW commands are:

• SHOW ALL generates a list of all the SET parameters currently in effect. If you enter SHOW ALL in one or more files in which KWIC and HILIGHT are not enabled, "not available" messages display in place of the descriptions of these parameters. Any costs shown for user-defined formats are those for the database currently being used. If you have SET an address, only the name or serial number is shown.
  
• SHOW ADDRESS displays the name or serial number of the alternate address that is currently in use for PRINT commands.
  
• SHOW ADDRESS <DETAIL> displays the complete address.
  
• SHOW COST indicates whether COST displays are set to ON or OFF.
  
• SHOW CURRENT indicates whether a CURRENT option is in effect.
  
• SHOW FILES is used with DIALINDEX or OneSearch to display a list of the files specified in your last SET FILES or BEGIN command.
  
• SHOW NOTICE indicates whether you will be notified when your Dialog Alerts profiles generate zero hits.
