How Do I Create a Dialog Profile? |
  |
The Dialog Profile feature lets you
store regularly used SET commands so that they are
automatically invoked each time you logon to Dialog. Any SET command, except SET PASSWORD,
can be stored in your Profile.
You can change SET commands for the
current session by entering the appropriate reset command. For example, if you have stored
SET COST OFF in your Profile, you can turn on the cost estimate display for your current
session by entering set cost on.
To create a Dialog Profile
- Enter edit.
- Enter a SET command, for example, set
cost off.
- Enter additional SET commands, if
desired.
Note: If you are entering a SET SUBACCT command, it must be the last line in your
Profile.
- To exit input mode, press Enter.
- To display your Profile, enter list.
- To save your Profile, enter save
profile.
- To activate your new Profile data,

your Profile.
