| DialogWeb Help: The FILE Command |
| Example: Find
records that mention pollution. Command: f pollution |
The FIND command is used in place of the SELECT command to specify terms that describe your search. Like the SELECT command, FIND retrieves records that contain the search terms that you specify and places them in a numbered set. FIND lets you search for phrases without using proximity operators, for example, find president clinton. However, if the phrase is not in exact word order, or if a phrase includes a system stop word, then you must use the (W) or (N) proximity operators.
You can use the FIND command with set numbers, for example, find s1 and florida. You can also use the command with E numbers created from EXPAND, for example, find e4.
