The EXPAND command displays a database-specific alphabetical index of terms around the term you EXPAND. You can EXPAND search terms in the Additional Index or the Basic Index of a database.
To EXPAND a search term in an Additional Index, enter the EXPAND command followed by the prefix and the term. To EXPAND a search term in the Basic Index, enter the EXPAND command followed by your search term. You can also EXPAND a field prefix code, for example, e dt=, to display a complete listing of the contents of the field.
