DialogWeb Help:  The EXS (Execute Steps) Command

Example: Run your SBWEB SearchSave.
Command: exs sbweb.

The EXECUTE STEPS command, abbreviated exs, is used to run a SearchSave that has been stored with the SAVE (or SAVE TEMP) command. (You can also execute the search strategy created by SAVE ALERT using EXECUTE STEPS.) It can also be used with the MAP command. EXS creates the same set numbering as the original search so that the search can be continued or reused.

An alternative command, EXECUTE, abbreviated ex, is available; however, if you use the EXECUTE command you should be aware of the following restrictions:

The EXECUTE command is recommended if an EXECUTE STEPS command would create more than 400 sets, the maximum number allowed.

Both the EXECUTE STEPS and EXECUTE commands must be followed by the name or serial number of the stored search. If you are not sure of the name or serial number, use the RECALL command to list your stored searches.
